Vanity Fair Light - Test Shoot Featuring Peyton Dalley

Vanity Fair Light: artistic, painterly light that has become synonymous with and made popular by photographers such as Annie Leibovitz and Mark Seliger , two photographers whose portraits of celebrities are featured in magazines like Vanity Fair and Vogue often and while you probably never heard of them, you have most likely seen examples their work. I'm not comparing myself to photographer icons like them, but I certainly take inspiration from their careful attention to light and how they use it to tell the story of their subject. Still getting the hang of creating that type of light myself, like in this test shoot with model Peyton Dalley. Which look is your favorite from the bunch? Instagram Facebook

Vanity Fair Light - Test Shoot Featuring Elisa Saurette

Elisa Saurette, Model // Wendy Hurst Portrait This year I'm planning to host several stylized group shoots, which is industry speak for a crowd-funded photo shoot where photographers pay a participation fee that covers the cost of professional models, set design, and everything else that goes with it. That means that way more test shoots with model candidates for those events are a big part of my future--which I love because I get to meet new people and create portraits like these featuring Elisa Saurette! Which look is your favorite?
